Honoring Heritage, Advancing Art

Welcome.
The Etowah Arts Commission, a Tennessee Overhill initiative, promotes artistic activity and cultural engagement in Etowah while honoring the unique Southeastern Appalachian heritage that shapes our community. Through visual art, music, exhibitions, festivals, and educational programs, we support local artists and create opportunities that connect people with artistic expression, local history, and living traditions.

The Etowah Arts Commission operates the Nancy Cantrell Dender Gallery, a free public gallery showcasing local Overhill artists, school art shows, and collaborative exhibitions with community partners. Each year, EAC sponsors the Cousin Jake Memorial Bluegrass Festival and the Young Authors’ Conference, one of the area’s most significant educational arts programs. Programs are funded in part by the Tennessee Arts Commission.
